The beginning of something new

A short, but oh so wonderful, update today!
I'm just making an educated guess here, but I really think we have finally found the optimal combination of medication for me! At the moment I'm listening to "Don't stop me now" by Queen. It's my favorite and I can so relate to it. Tomorrow it's been one week since we made the latest adjustments to my meds and already I feel a lot better. My sleeping has improved, if not by much. My mind is less fuzzy, I find it easier to laugh but best of all: Today I went on my first real powerwalk in months! Not just a stroll, we're talking 45 minutes of exercise. I had to bully myself into it a bit but I did it. I'm not taking this improvement for granted but I think I'm starting to get back on track! :D

Post nr 29

The phrase “Walking on air” is often used as a way of describing just how deeply in love you are. You feel weightless, indestructible. I’ve never really given it much thought, it’s just one of those sayings you grow up with.

But recently I literally have been walking on air! Going out on power walks is my favorite form of exercise, after riding. But at the moment I’m not really up to it, the exercise part. I like regular walks as well, but they don’t build up muscles the way power walking does. So what to do? The answer: New trainers! There’s a new type of trainers. On the soles is some sort of pad with moveable air inside them. These pads or air pockets or whatever they’re called help strengthen your muscles, just as power walking does. A great investment on my part. I can walk just as I like, thinking, encouraging myself during the walk and still get exercise even when I just take a stroll down to the groceries. I highly recommend them. Just to avoid any misunderstanding, I meant the trainers, not the groceries!
